Uma fábula é uma história que lhe oferece uma moral no fim. Parece chato, não? Mas garanto que não é. Primeiro, porque as fábulas vêm em vários sabores, tipos, tamanhos e temas. Segundo, porque todo mundo já ficou em dúvida sobre como sair de uma determinada situação e as fábulas, especialmente aquelas mais antigas, têm o poder de parecerem sempre novinhas em folha e apropriadas para a sua confusão de agora. Quanto aos sabores, você pode escolher o que prefere – ou provar os dois. Nada contra.
Para algo mais clássico, uma boa pedida é Minhas fábulas de Esopo. O livro é escrito por Michael Morpurgo (um belo nome para um fabulista) e ilustrado por Emma Chichester Clark. Mas embora Morpurgo tenha feito a redação final, o inventor das fábulas é o tal Esopo do título. Esopo era grego, nasceu escravo, mas até hoje é reconhecido como um sábio. E olhe que ele começou a inventar suas histórias uns seiscentos anos antes de Cristo. É dele, por exemplo, a famosíssima história da corrida entre a lebre e a tartaruga. Esopo também inventou o “amigo urso” e foi o primeiro a perguntar “quem vai pôr o guizo no gato?”
Mas se você prefere algo mais moderno – muito mais moderno – Angélica Lopes é sua guia. Ela escreveu um livro bacana chamado Coração de bicho. Aqui, as personagens não são lobos, raposas e outros bichinhos fofos. Há uma história com um coelho que se alimenta de ódio. Uma guerra entre minúsculos ácaros por um tapete vermelho. Um camaleão com sérios questionamentos artísticos. Uma tartaruga com crise de autoestima. E uma mosquita perdidamente apaixonada por sua vítima.

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.
